The geotechnical engineering teaching laboratory is used by M Tech students. The lab is currently equipped with all the basic facilities as well as advanced testing facilities, catering to even the most recent applications such as Geosynthetics. Some of the major testing systems include a computerised cyclic triaxial system, automated static triaxial system, a computerised flexible wall permeability system, fully automated soil-geosynthetic interface shear resistance testing apparatus. The lab also has design studio packages like PLAXIS 2D and 3D, GeoStudio, L-Pile, and FB-Multiplier & FB-Deep (educational versions).
